The impact analysis of hosting The 2012 UEFA European Championship on tourism in Poland

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to verify the hypothesis of whether hosting EURO 2012 has had a positive impact on tourism in Poland. The theoretical part consists of definitions of tourism, sport tourism, and sport events. The practical part focuses on an analysis of EURO 2012, as well as an evaluation of a new Polish image, predictions of future macroeconomic effects, problems of the newly built sport infrastructures, definition of "Polish effect", and the arrivals in Poland during 2010 - 2013. The latter research is based on a survey which was conducted among Czech fans who visited Poland during the tournament. The survey's purpose was to research whether Czech respondents were satisfied with the Polish organization of the tournament.
Analysis of the the running races benefits organized by Prague International Marathon for tourism

The thesis deals with the assessment of the sporting events impact. The main aim is to assess the impact of the running races organized by Prague International Marathon objectively and to verify the hypothesis that organizing sporting events can have a positive impact on tourism of the country. The theoretical part explains the basic approaches of sport tourism and deals with the typology of the sporting events. The practical part analyses the impact of the PIM running races on tourism. The aim is to quantify the number of participants, to examine their structure, to calculate the economic impact, to examine media coverage and the social impact of the events.
